COSENZA ROCK MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE SCHOOL

This evening will close the event Cosenza Rock Festival 2009, organized in Piazza Duomo in the old city and the third and final night provides for the performance of the group "Pincus" and then the rock n roll singer and musician Matthew Lee .
This event precedes the annual summer concerts that liven up the evenings in July in Cosenza, we remember last year the participation of Hot Tuna-Hevia and the festival of "Invasion" has become a meeting point for many university students.

30 years since the death of Demetrio Stratos

30 years have passed since the death of singer and musician of Greek origin known Demetrio Stratos p er his experiments and research carried out by both voice
soloist with such groups as the rebels and Area.
Its role in the music scene 70 years older was crucial given the artistic courage to pursue a new type of music with an innovative and experimental. I think particularly some of the songs of the Area can be difficult to label as a specific musical genre, as take the form of songs with characteristics different from other songs for both the structure and for the use of voice as if it were one INSTRUMENTS.

An interesting exhibition of cartoons and drawings has been prepared under the auspices of the Province Cosenza in the old city. The exhibition, curated by journalist Vincenzo Mollica Rai is entirely dedicated to Fabrizio De Andrè, in which the most famous Italian comic-strip illustrations and caricatures have spent finding interest among fans Cartoon by fans of the singer as well as Genoa.

Ten years after the death of the PFM Genoese singer-songwriter brings his songs in Italian piazzas with a long tour that will last all summer (for see other dates go to the official website: www.pfmpfm.it / official_newsite.html ).
De Andrè personally worked with the band creating a memorable tour from which they were recorded two CDs containing his most famous songs with new arrangements.

musician Mauro Pagani he recorded again for charity along with several Italian artists his song "Tomorrow " 2003.

The sale of the disc serves to raise funds for people victims of the earthquake.
Pagani currently on tour in several Italian cities, offers its concerts in the covers of bands like 70 years older Italian and flush out the area, the songs written with Fabrizio De Andrè and his songs composed after he left the PFM.

I propose a video of Pagani in a free concert, sponsored by the Province of Cosenza, in the theater Rendano Cosenza held on 29.4.2009, are within minutes of the song A Cimma fruit of his collaboration with De Andrè.

I chose this photo of the 1959 Rene Burri, famous photographer for the Magnum , to link to the topic of my last post.
In this picture you can see the decision by Burri to make a composition of a strict line based perspective of the street that is closed by the human figure in the background and foreground is the hood of a car.

The click is of course the camera, in fact, with the introduction in the film market of digital cameras and waiting for development are now things of another time, but this time goes back more or less a decade ago when only the fans carry around the bulky cameras.
Today, small and light cameras allow anyone to take pictures even those who do not care to adjust the shutter speed or aperture lens.
We are so overwhelmed by our computer folders containing hundreds of photos and ease of doing shots allows anyone to become "photographers" and then "photo art", but what are the criteria to say that a picture is artistic or not . Anyone
frequent courses on the history of the picture or see a photo exhibit this problem arises, which also covers some current contemporary artists such as Dadaism.
Who determines that a given photo is worthy of being publicly exposed or be considered a form of art?
This also applies to the great photographers of the 900 shots that making the content as atrocious shot people, terminally ill, villages destroyed by war, for their formal composition are considered art and not just evidence of the reality.
The photograph shows directly the reality as it is not a representation, but can mediate the painful aspects of life with the beauty of light and shades of color contrasts, that makes us say "dungeon" maybe in front of a picture of an old window with broken glass.
